Back to school sales. Scorching heat simmering down degree by degree. Daylight decreasing. Anticipation of football (and consequently, forgetting baseball). These are the signs of the waning of summer into fall. One last sign… new fall TV!
This year is a peculiar TV season. There are quite a few returning shows that we can’t wait to premiere (all on cable), but not one NEW broadcast show that entices us, as NBC continues to find itself under new Comcast/ Kabletown management, ABC strives to be Bravo, Fox expands Simon Cowell’s coffer and gambles on Terra Nova, and CBS, well, we can’t wait for Ashton Kutcher on Two and a Half Men! [sarcasm].
No, our true expectation doesn’t come from broadcasters. The cable networks continue to grab our attention, which is why we have included premieres for cable and pay cable.

We also encourage you to play at home with America’s favorite game: What New Show Will Get Cancelled First? Our Vegas insiders tell us that there is no clear winner, but state that ABC has a healthy stable of potential losers and the safe bet would be to pick from the Alphabet fold.
